I gave up my dream because of my inability to challenge myself.
Petrochemical engineering was my initial dream but come to think of it, I'm very poor in mathematics and even find it more difficult to understand when taught,
so how will such a dream come to reality?
A person's mindset refers to their beliefs and attitudes towards themselves, others, and the world around them.
I think my inability to fight the mindset I had about mathematics led me to change my dream. Mathematics is difficult,
that's all I used to chant when I was in secondary school.
Developing a growth mindset is important to focus on your personal development and learning, and to embrace new challenges.
As I was growing in life,
I saw mathematics as an obstacle and instead of embracing the challenge and seeing it as an opportunity for growth,
I instead avoided it and made up my mind that Art class is the alternative.
Are you also finding it difficult to learn or do some things?
First,
Your mindset about it is important.
Are you saying to yourself that you can't know it or you can't do it?
That is, a fixed mindset desists from it because you won't know it.
No matter how difficult it is,
say to yourself I can do it, that's a growth mindset,
Have a positive mindset because by doing so, you will be ready to challenge yourself and view it as an opportunity for growth,
avoid negative self-talk,
and embrace a positive and optimistic outlook.
Sooner or later you will achieve your goal and be happy
Don't give up your dream like me because of one particular obstacle,
challenge yourself and develop a growth mindset,
set achievable goals,
seek out new experiences,
And finally surround yourself with supportive and encouraging people.
